Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS), Glasgow
Please note that this event is open to women only, aged 16+.
The Scottish Women’s Convention would like you to join us for an important and timely roundtable session bringing women together from across Scotland to discuss the issue of violence against women and girls. This event addresses violence, abuse and online harm and some content may be upsetting. Support will be available in the room if you need it.
Our session will provide a space to share experiences, insights and priorities, ensuring women’s voices are at the heart of any future justice reforms in Scotland. This event will explore women’s views on a range of issues relating to violence against women and girls including on their safety, the threat of online harm and the criminal justice system. It may also include the themes of non-fatal strangulation, spiking and violence during pregnancy.
5.30pm-6.00pm - Registration and Refreshments
6.00pm-7.30pm - Roundtable Discussions
The views and opinions from this discussion, along with our online survey, will help to shape our response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on Protections in the Justice System for Women and Girls.
