Health Inequalities - Online Roundtable
October 8, 2024, 18.30 – 20.00
via Zoom, Scotland
It has been regularly observed that those residing in areas of high deprivation will experience a lower quality of health than individuals who live in more affluent locations. Glasgow City currently holds the lowest at birth life expectancy for women, 78.2 years, while East Renfrewshire has the highest, 84 years, highlighting the significant health inequalities that exist within Scotland, with an approximate 12-mile distance resulting in nearly six years of difference in lifespan.
The SWC Team want to further understand the impact of poverty on women’s health experiences in Scotland, and so are hosting an online roundtable on Tuesday 8th of October at 6:30pm to 8pm. During this event, you will be asked to provide your personal experiences of healthcare in Scotland, as well as how you would like to improve healthcare access.
Remember we are also holding roundtables on Child Poverty and Food Insecurity, which you can find out more about on our events page.
These events are for women only to attend.
