A Blether on ... World Population Day
July 11, 2024, 12.30 – 14.00
Zoom Online, Scotland
World Population Day, held on the 11th of July, aims to highlight the importance of population levels across the globe. In 2021, the world’s population reached 7.9 billion, with this being estimated to increase to 8.5 billion by 2030. Scotland has contributed to this rise, with the 2022 census finding that the population had risen to 5.4 million, largely due an increase in migration. However, women in rural communities have reported depopulation, with this bringing a range of issues. To understand how changes to Scotland’s population are impacting women, we are hosting ‘A Blether on… World Population Day’.
Grab a cuppa, join us online and let's have a blether! We want to hear how Scotland’s changing population has transformed your local community!
