The Impact of Poverty on Women

November 2, 2024, 11.00 – 15.00
Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel, Glasgow
Currently, over one million people live in relative poverty in Scotland; it has been estimated that 24% of children, 21% of working-age adults and 15% of pensioners live in relative poverty. These rates have remained persistent in recent years, with continued inequality and rising living costs worsening an incredibly difficult situation for women and families.
Overall poverty prevents women from accessing vital resources and services, limiting their healthy life expectancies and contributing to poor wellbeing. As an organisation which focuses on the lived experience of women, we want to gather your thoughts and views on the issue of poverty, and how this actively impacts your everyday life.
